Christine Rowland, DNP, NNP-BC

Dr. Christine Rowland is the founder of ThriveWell Newborn Care and is a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience caring for newborns and guiding families through the first precious weeks of life. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and she has spent her career supporting newborns in both hospital and home settings — from the NICU to personalized in-home concierge care.

Her deep clinical knowledge, paired with a warm, nurturing approach, has made her a trusted partner for parents seeking expert guidance during the transition to parenthood. Dr. Rowland’s philosophy is rooted in compassion, education, and empowerment — helping parents gain the skills and confidence to care for their newborns while feeling truly supported along the way.

Through ThriveWell Newborn Care, Dr. Rowland brings her decades of expertise directly to families’ homes, offering evidence-based care with a personal touch. Whether providing overnight newborn care, parent coaching, or educational sessions, her mission is simple: to help every family thrive with confidence, connection, and peace of mind.

When she’s not caring for newborns or mentoring neonatal nurses, Dr. Rowland enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, traveling to the beach and to the mountains, and sharing her passion for infant wellness through community education and advocacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is newborn concierge care?

Concierge newborn care provides personalized care for newborns and support for families in the comfort of their home.

Will the care provider stay overnight in our home?

Yes! If you book overnight care, your nurse will remain in your home through the night to handle feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and sleep support, while monitoring your baby’s comfort and safety. We always follow the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines to ensure your baby sleeps safely. If you are breastfeeding we’ll bring your baby to you for nursing and offer latch support if needed. Once feeding is complete, we’ll take care of burping, diapering, and settling your baby back to sleep so you can return to rest.

Are services customizable?

Yes—every family is unique. We tailor each service, whether overnight care, coaching, or education, to fit your lifestyle and preferences.

Why choose a newborn care concierge service?

Newborn concierge care services offer expert care tailored to your families needs, ensuring peace of mind and confidence.

How do we get started?

Simply contact us to schedule your initial discovery call. We’ll learn about your family’s needs, walk through available services, and create a personalized care plan.

How is concierge care different from hiring a nanny or babysitter?

Unlike general childcare providers our nurse practitioners, nurses, newborn care specialists, and doula's are trained in newborn care and hold professional licenses and certifications. We combine nurturing care with expert knowledge. All care providers are background checked, reference verified, drug tested, and covered by liability insurance.

How soon should we book?

We recommend reserving services during pregnancy (3rd trimester), as schedules fill quickly. However, we’re always happy to support families who reach out after baby has arrived.

Still have questions?

We know that every family—and every baby—is unique. If you didn’t find the answer you were looking for, we’re here to help.

Reach out to schedule a complimentary discovery call or send us a message with your questions. We’ll take the time to listen, learn about your needs, and help you choose the right level of support for your family.

Because when it comes to caring for your baby, you deserve guidance that feels personal, compassionate, and completely tailored to you.

Do you accept insurance?

At ThriveWell Newborn Care, our goal is to give families the highest level of personalized attention and support during the newborn stage. By not working directly with insurance, we’re able to spend more time with each family, offer flexible scheduling, and provide in-home visits and services that traditional insurance plans don’t usually cover.

This concierge model means your care is guided by your family’s needs—not by insurance limitations or paperwork. You’ll always have direct access to your provider and the peace of mind that comes with truly individualized care.
